Top 3 movies to see in September

There are numerous amounts of movies coming out this July, but here is a list of top 3 sci fi/action/ horror/ movies to see this month. Not listed in any particular order.

1. Machete- Starring:
Danny Trejo, Steven Seagal, Lindsay Lohan, Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Jeff Fahey.

I've been excited to see this movie ever since the Grindhouse double feature came out a few years ago. Machete was a mock up trailer for a new Grindhouse flick that turned out to be so popular that Robert Rodriguez decided to make a movie out of it. I can't wait to see the sexy Mexican himself, Danny Trejo in his first starring role. It's going to be crazy, over the top, awesomeness.

Synopsis:
He looked like just another day laborer from the streets, and the perfect fall guy for a crooked political assassination. But he turned out to be Machete (Danny Trejo), a legendary ex-federale with a deadly attitude and the skills to match.

Release date: September 3rd

2. Resident Evil: After Life 3:D- Starring:
Milla Jovovich, Johnny Messner, Boris Kodjoe, Wentworth Miller, Ali Larter, Kim Coates.

To be quite honest, I am not a huge fan of Resident Evil movies. I really enjoyed the first one, anything after that was just abortion of the movies. I think they're taking the name brand way too far for this one. But believe it or not, it is one of the biggest movies to see in September because frankly the movies in September look like they're going to suck.

Synopsis:
In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, ALICE (Milla Jovovich), continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead leads them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap.

Release date: September 10th

3. The Town- Starring:
Ben Affleck, Jon Hamm, Rebecca Hall, Jeremy Renner, Chris Cooper, Blake Lively, David Crockett.

The Town was advertised as being produced by the same people who produced Gone baby Gone, and same studio that brought us The Departed (good movie). But at the same time, it's directed by Ben Affleck so it can go either way. Either it's going to be amazing piece of film, or it's going to be painful to watch. We will just have to find out.

Synopsis: Doug MacRay (Ben Affleck) is an unrepentant criminal, the de facto leader of a group of ruthless bank robbers who pride themselves in stealing what they want and getting out clean. With no real attachments, Doug never has to fear losing anyone close to him. But that all changed on the gang's latest job, when they briefly took a hostage--bank manager, Claire Keesey (Rebecca Hall). Though they let her go unharmed, Claire is nervously aware that the robbers know her name...and where she lives. But she lets her guard down when she meets an unassuming and rather charming man named Doug...not realizing that he is the same man who only days earlier had terrorized her. The instant attraction between them gradually turns into a passionate romance that threatens to take them both down a dangerous, and potentially deadly, path. Release date: September 17th

8 Badass Sci-Fi Predictions That Came True In Lame-Ass Ways

Thank you TommyO for finding this article :)

"Every day, frustrated people around the globe wonder via sarcastic t-shirt whatever happened to the future we were promised as children. A future in which everyone flies their hovercar to a four-hour workday at the cybermines, breaking off only to pop a protein pill and hop a transport tube to the exercise pods. After all, the iPhone is kind of like a Star Trek communicator (especially this iPhone) and some of those giant glass underwater hotels they’re building in Dubai rival Heinlein on a good day. But what about the rest? Our jetpacks, robots and laser guns? Were they just sweet fiction, the hollow promises of a society longing for the comfort and freedom of a spandex unitard? Sadly, no. The disappointing truth is that the futuristic devices we’ve demanded for so long are already here. Just different … and kind of shitty. It’s like when you order something at Denny’s based on the picture on the menu, but when the food comes out it looks like a pile of phlegm smothered in gravy. Behold: the future (in phlegm and gravy form)!"

Top 3 movies to see in August 2010

There are numerous amounts of movies coming out this July, but here is a list of top 3 sci fi/action/ horror/ movies to see this month. Not listed in any particular order.

1. The Expendables- Starring Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I'm quite excited to see this movie, as I feel it's going to be action packed, the most unrealistic type stunts, leave your brain at the door type movie. I mean Sylvester,Jet Li, Arnold Schwarzenegger, even Bruce Willis is in it! This is going to be the most testosterone filled movie, but I don't mind seeing old hotties :).

Complete cast list:
Stallone himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke, and Jet Li, as well as more recent stars such as Jason Statham, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, and Steve Austin.

Synopsis:
"The Expendables" follows a group of mercenaries hired to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its ruthless dictator. Once the mission begins, the men realize things aren’t quite as they appear, finding themselves caught in a dangerous web of deceit and betrayal.

Release date: August 13th

2. Piranha 3-D. Starring Elisabeth Shue, Jerry O'Connell, Adam Scott, Ving Rhames.

Not familiar with anyone in this cast, but the title pretty much summarizes the whole movie. I need to see as much blood gushing out from the most obscure body parts such as the Gull Bladder, even better a Clavicle.

Synopsis: From acclaimed director Alexandre Aja ("The Hills Have Eyes") comes the new action thriller "Piranha 3D", in the latest eye-popping 3D technology. A new type of terror is about to be cut loose on beautiful Lake Victoria. After a sudden underwater tremor sets free scores of the prehistoric man-eating fish, an unlikely group of strangers must band together to stop themselves from becoming fish food for the area's new razor-toothed residents. But our heroine (Elisabeth Shue) is seriously outnumbered, and with only one chance to save the lake and her family from totally being devoured, she must risk everything to destroy the aquatic carnivores herself.

Release date: August 20th.

3. Vampires Suck- Starring Ken Jeong, Matt Lanter, oh who cares I mean the "Vampires suck" is worth seeing despite the no name actors. Although not really a sci fi film, who can resist the title itself especially with the whole vampire craze we have going on. This movie is actually a parody of Twilight Saga. I'm ready to see this good version of Twilight :)

Synopsis: A spoof of the vampire movie genre, particularly "The Twilight Saga." Becca, an anxious, non-vampire teen, is torn between two boys. Before she can choose, Becca must get around her controlling father, who embarrasses Becca by treating her like a child. Meanwhile, Becca’s friends contend with their own romantic issues – all of which collide at the prom.

Release date: August 18th.

Inception Movie Review

The Matrix has nothing on the riveting mind bending story of Inception starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page, Tom Hardy, and Ken Wantabe. Directed by Christopher Nolan who also directed Batman: The Dark Knight. The movie features a "thief" by the name of Dom Cobb (Dicaprio) who is capable of extracting the most important information from people by going deep inside the subconscious mind during sleep. Dom Cobb a fugitive in the United States is given the opportunity to do "INCEPTION" on one of the most powerful tycoons in the world. The only way Mr.Cobb can return back safely to the Untied States is if he plants the idea into the Tycoon's head.

PROS: While not the best movie out there, Inception offers the view into a completely new idea of espionage. The movie length is 2 ad 1/2 hours but is able to trick to viewer into thinking it only lasted only 5 minutes. Inception, in terms of special effects, is no Transformers, Alice in Wonderland, or James Cameron's Avatar; but it doesn't need to be. This movie is a perfect example that it can still be an amazing flick without 3-D or caking on special effects. The plot itself is quite complex and will keep the viewer engrossed into the idea of going deep below subconscious mind. Actors wise, you can't go wrong here. I would love to see Leo in a different role and do think he's typecasted but he's amazing just the way he is.

CONS: I thoroughly enjoyed this piece of artwork, loved the script and the story, but I just wish the movie would have a twist that I already didn't expect. Throughout the movie I kept on guessing what was going to happen next, hoping to be wrong. Sadly, nothing happened that I did not already forsee.
I was also a bit disappointed at the end.

To conclude, this movie is the best flick of the summer hands down.

Ke$ha featuring Taio Cruz "Dirty Picture" Spoof Parody video

I worked so hard on this video, youtube had a problem with it because the song is not mine obviously but I think the song is so pathetic that I thought I'd create a parody music video for it. All of the characters are played by me :)
Come visit MYyoutube page for other videos and movie reviews.

Best of Arnold Schwarzenegger

In case you haven't noticed, I'm a huge Arnold fanatic. I love every movie he's ever been in. His acting is unbelievable. He's able to transgend all sorts of roles going form an action figure to a comedian. His accent is what makes Arnie so funny.
I decided to post my favorite unique Arny quotes from my all time favorite movies.
Have fun and enjoy

Caught between combat and courage, Aang (Noah Ringer) discovers he is the lone Avatar with the power to manipulate all four elements. 2.Predators Starring:
Danny Trejo, Walton Gogglins, Adrien Brody, Alice Brag.
Not sure how this movie will turn out, the synopsis bored me to death for sure. Neither am I sure about the cast. Will I go see it anyway? Yeah sure why not.

Synopsis from movieinsider
: The film stars Adrien Brody as Royce, a mercenary who reluctantly leads a group of elite warriors who come to realize they've been brought together on an alien planet... as prey. With the exception of a disgraced physician, they are all cold-blooded killers – mercenaries, Yakuza, convicts, death squad members – human "predators" that are now being systemically hunted and eliminated by a new breed of alien Predators.

Release date: July 7th

3. Inception
Starring: Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Ken Watanabe.

Who isn't a big fan of Leo and the films he's been in. Has he ever let us down? Not me, heck the girl in me really enjoyed Titanic and Romeo and Juliet. This movie is going to rock our socks!

Synopsis from IMDB:
Acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan directs an international cast in an original sci-fi actioner that travels around the globe and into the intimate and infinite world of dreams. Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb's rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved.

Shutter Island masterpiece

From previews, Shutter Island looks like a horror movie. Scary asylum, ghosts, freaky doctors. But the film is actually an interesting and intense psychological thriller. It's quite an interesting film that will keep the viewer engrossed from beginning to an end. Unfortunately, we can't help but wonder was this really directed by Martin Scorsese? We have all seen better Scorsese films out there. Remember the Departed? Don't get this review wrong, this was an outstanding piece of film, but it doesn't live up to Scorsese's other films.

The movie takes place in an asylum where two marshalls are investigating the disappearance of a psychotic inmate. The film was made in a way to make the audience feel as if they're also in a psychiatric ward. The effects were phenomenal, and we can't help but think that we might be developing schizophrenia as well.

If you would like to become psychotic for two hours, then this movie is for you.
4/5 stars.

2010 Oscar Winners predictions

Never been a big fan of Oscars myself, who gets nominated for those things anyway? But here is MY take on who is going to be this year's big winners...and losers.
Avatar of course, will grab most of the prizes. Following The Hurt Locker, and Precious.

Stretch Armstrong film starring Taylor Lautner

With the new technological cinematic advances, we can't help but wonder what will Hollywood think of doing next? A remake of
Wolfman? Wait...that's already been done. What about a remake of the 1958 classic The Fly? Oh wait...it's already been done, twice. Oh surely nobody thought to remake of Alice in Wonderland. Wrong.

As if all of the remakes isn't enough, we have movies based on comics, novels, and even toy companies.

It is safe to assume that Hollywood has ultimately run out of ideas! Why? Because the hit star Taylor Lautner has just signed up with Universal Studios to play a part of Stretch Armstrong, a toy from Hasbro. The toy Stretch Armstrong was a very popular stretchy action figure in the 1970's. That's it, nothing else but an action figure. But before you cringe your face and say "RENTAL", you might want to reconsider. The film is going to contain a vast amount of special effects, 3-D animation, and the sexy Taylor Lautner himself. Let's face it, whether we like it or not this movie is going to be a box office success.

I just can't wait to see them make a movie about Barbies, Barbie get's kidnapped.

Or what about Furby? Tickle me Elmo? Pogs? Tamogochi?

A Stretch Armstrong commercial:

The Time Machine movie

Based on a novel by H.G. Wells, directed by Simon Wells. I wonder if there is any relationship to the author himself. If you are ever wondering whether to read the novel or watch a movie, do yourself a favor and just read the novel. The story in the movie deviate so much from the actually book that it was as if we are watching a completely new story.

By the end of the movie, I feel as if we didn't learn anything from the story iteslf: A professor is in love, his girl gets killed during his proposal to her. He travels back through time to save her, but she dies again. The professor gets upset and travels into the future. I think the plot is missing some important substance, like what the viewer should learn by the end of the movie.

Special effects were stunning, but other than that this movie is trash.

Valentine's Day movie 2010 the most hyped movie

Without a doubt, the Valentine's Day is going to be the biggest Romantic movie of the year. Not because it may have an interesting story or character development but because every single ultra famous hot celebrity star is in it.
Whatever happened to making amazing, classic, interesting love stories without having 234736472364 famous people in it.

Jessica Alba, Kathy Bates, Julia Roberts, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper (my favorite hottie), Eric Dane, Patrick Dempsey (so overrated), Jamie Fox, Jennifer Garner, Topher Grace (another one of my favorite hotties), Anna Hathaway, Ashton Kutcher, Qeen Latifah, Taylor Lautner and even his girlfriend Taylor Swift.

WOW, I can't stand romantic movies but I sort of want to go see it now. YOU GOT ME HOLLYWOOD, ugh!
